Anthracite Coal Deposit

The Walmsley anthracite deposit contains an estimated 2 million tonnes of opencast-accessible anthracite coal — the highest grade of coal.

Walmsley farm is situated within the Klip River Coal Field, approximately 15 km south-east of Newcastle in KwaZulu-Natal, part of the Keldoron Properties 22 portfolio.

The farm’s anthracite and thermal coal seams are accessible via opencast methods, with favorable overburden ratios and proximity to existing mining infrastructure.
